A monochrome engraved bookplate, page IV, taken from Captain James Wallis's 'Historical Account of the Colony of New South Wales', published in 1821. Clouds and sky dominate the top third of the image. The middle ground shows the townscape on the west side of Sydney Cove with Fort Phillip, windmills, warehouses and ships prominent. In the foreground are rocks, vegetation and two Aboriginals with spears. The engraving itself is 300 x 400 mm and sits within a white mount and gilt frame.
