Made in Beijing, China.

"Beijing (Chong Wen) Jin Yi Xie Ye Gong Mao Zhong Xin" (Beijing (Chongwen District's) "Jin Yi" (Golden Hundred Million) Shoe Manufacturing and Trading Centre) was founded on the 1st of September, 1987. It was situated on 1 Xiangchun Hutong, Chongwen District, Beijing, closed to the Temple of Heaven. It is an enterprise that entitled to manufacture, process and retail shoes, stationeries, and artifacts. Unfortunately, this enterprise was closed down in late 2002.

This pair of loafers was purchased in Beijing "Tong Sheng He" shoe shop at Wang Fu Jing in the April of 1994.

Shoes (pair), womens, vinyl / metal, brand ANGZI, manufacturer Beijing Jin Yi shoe manufacturer, Beijing, China, 1994

Pair of womens slip on loafers with chunky heel and platform sole and decorated with a narrow metal rectangle across the arch. Made of day-glo orange plastic with beige vinyl soles. Black and gold label on inner sole with ANGZI (stands for the brand "Ang Zi" (vigorous appearance)) and manufacture information in Chinese.

Stamped in gold on soles: 'VERO/CUOIO/37'. Black and gold fabric label on innersoles: 'ANGZI/Chinese characters'.
Golden Chinese characters printed on the black shiny label on inner sole: "Ang Zi" (ANGZI / vigorous appearance) brand, "Bei Jin Yi Xie Ye Gong Mao Zhong Xin" (Beijing "Jin Yi" (Golden Hundred Million) Shoe Manufacturing and Trading Centre)
