Description
Photographic print, framed, 'C Darwin', paper/wood, [Australia], [1860-1880]. Sepia photograph, depicts bearded image of Charles Darwin with upper torso and head in almost profile. The photograph is inscribed in brown ink with 'C. Darwin'. It has been mounted on cream coloured card and framed in a simple, timber gold-painted frame with the edge of the mounting around the photograph also trimmed in gold paint.
