Kris with silver scabbard, this weapon was obtained from Sumatra at the close of the Achinese war, part of the Benton Malay silver collection (SB). ...double edged straight bladed scabbard, quite old, worn from etching, wooden hilt in the form of a stylized garuda bird, silver cup, well carved with leaves, scabbard of wood, covered almost entirely with Eastern silver, with geometric and foliate patterns (OF).
