Bruce Stewart, former chief designer at Note Printing Australia (who also designed the $5.00 note). The $100.00 note follows the $5.00, $10.00, $20.00 and $50.00 notes as the fifth and final in the plastic (polymer) note series.
An important aspect of the design were new security features consisting of;
transparent area printed with stylised image; micro printed denomination; seven pointed star composed from both sides of the note; 'watermark' coat of arms; intricate combination of flat background superimposed with raised printing.
