Object is marked 'Cingalese', the adjective for Ceylon/Sri Lanka where the original was probably drawn. The chromolithograph was done sometime later in London by W Griggs & Sons. Also marked on the object is 'Photograph painted by J I Williamson'.

These photolithographs were secured for the museum by Trubner & Co who were the London agent for the Museum primarily for publications & printed matter.
