The vendor remembers that the costume was made at the time of the release of the 'Get rocked' album (1974).

The costume was made for Hush's bass player Rick Lum in 1974. He cannot remember the designer or maker. The words 'Get rocked' were appliqued on to the leg because 'Get rocked' was the name of Hush's new album at the time. Rick Lum wore the costume on stage with Hush on many occasions.
The costume was made for Rick Lum and worn by him on stage with the band Hush on a number of occasions. He lent it to the museum in 1993 for the 'Real wild child' exhibition and it has remained on loan since then.

Two piece stage costume, consisting of a long sleeved, zip-front jacket, and flared trousers, of black synthetic satin (rayon), with appliqued decoration in pink and yellow, worn by Rick Lum of the rock band Hush, Australia, 1974.
-1 Long sleeved black jacket with zipper fastening at centre front, zippered cuffs and a wide collar. The edge of the collar and lapels are decorated with an appliqued zig-zag pattern, in yellow and pink satin, there are horizontal bands of the same pink and yellow fabric around the waist. The back of the jacket is decorated with an appliqued skull and cross bones motif in yellow. Lined with cream cotton fabric.
-2 Flared black trousers with the words 'GET ROCKED' appliqued in yellow down the outside of the left leg, and an appliqued motif consisting of a yellow snake wrapped around a pink sword, on the outside of the right leg. Trousers fasten at centre front with a black metal zipper and a metal hook and eye. Lined with cream cotton fabric.
