Dress and scarf, 'Lily', crepe, Zandra Rhodes, England, c. 1972
Dress made of pale blue crepe. Square neckline, V-shaped panel of blue satin at front to the waist and at the back to hip. The back panel is overlaid with guipure lace with lily design. Centre front opening fastened with 13 covered buttons. A frill in the crepe trims the panel becoming quite full at centre back forming a slight bustle effect. The overlong sleeves have vent openings at the cuff fastened with 8 covered buttons. The skirt is made up of an underskirt and uneven panels front and back. All parts of the skirt are roll hemmed creating a frilled effect. White fabric label: 'Zandra Rhodes/LONDON'.
The long scarf is made of fine chiffon, white ground printed with an repeat abstract floral design in pink, purple and black. Roll hem.
