Sydney is place of manufacture, however the photograph was taken in Cornalla Forest Reserve.

Possible range of dates when photograph taken.
Probably used to document and publicise activities of timber industry in NSW.

Description
Photographic print, red gum log, paper/cardboard, NSW Government Printing Office, maker unknown, NSW, [1880-1920]. Mounted photograph of large red gum tree, logged in Cornalla Forest Reserve. The log's dimensions are recorded as 38 feet long, girth of 16 feet 1 inch, and its superficial contents are 7,372 feet. Photograph shows log on trailer pulled by bullocks, with two men standing in front of trailer.
