Advertising poster, polychrome commercial lithographic print on paper, rectangular, vertical format, metal edging strips top and bottom, designed by Zhou Baisheng for Peking Five Star Beer and Soft Drink. Central panel features illustration of two Chinese women in a domestic interior setting, one stands, with a glass in one hand and the other resting on the shoulder of the other, who sits at a table, on which there are bottles of beer and drink displayed. A large window in the background looks out on a rural setting. Panels of Chinese text down either side of the illustration provide information about the company and its products, and give the names and addresses of retailers. Across the top is an inscription in Chinese characters with floral decorations on either side, reading: 'Zhong Guo Bei Jing Wu Xing Pi Jiu Qi Shui'. The artist's signature is printed in Chinese characters in the bottom right corner of the illustraion, and a printer's note in both English and Chinese is on either corner of the poster.
