Description

Photographic print, panorama, 'Public School Children of NSW', paper, maker unknown, Sydney, 1902.
Photographic print consisting of 4 sepia toned prints mounted horizontally on rag-backed cardboard, to create a single panoramic view of the public school children of New South Wales, marching in formation at the Sydney Cricket Ground, on the occasion of a sports meeting held to raise money for the Mount Kembla and Martinque mining disasters relief fund. The following inscriptions are printed on the backing board, above and below the photographs: "New South Wales, Australia", "Public School Children of N.S.W. Grand display at sports meeting in aid of Mount Kembla and Martinque disasters relief fund, 26th Novemeber, 1902. F. Bridges organiser J. H. Strong, Walter Bethel, Hon Secs."
