Description

Toy bus and packaging, 'London Bus MB-17', metal / plastic / cardboard, made by Matchbox International Ltd, China, c. 1987

'London Bus MB-17' Matchbox toy bus and packaging. The exterior of the bus is of white painted metal, with interior red plastic chairs, and a black plastic base and wheels. The commemorative bus was only available to the members of the Matchbox International Collectors. The toy bus is stored in a blue and yellow rectangular cardboard box featuring an image on the bus on the front, and red, black, and white text on the front, back and sides.

Commemorative stickers adhered to the right and left sides of the bus, printed in blue, red, white, and yellow 'MICA / MATCHBOX INTERNATIONAL / COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION'.

Trade name and information on the underside of the bus, embossed in plastic 'S=1/124 / C 1981 / MATCHBOX TM R / LEYLAND TITAN / MADE IN CHINA'.
