This component is an example of the type of production undertaken in Australia for international companies by Hawker De Havilland as part of the offset programs common to aircraft sales contracts in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Panel, Airbus A330-340, lower wing, fibreglass/carbon fibre, d. Airbus Industries, m. Hawker de Havilland Limited, Bankstown, New South Wales, 1990-1992.
Irregular shaped panel made up of light brown honeycombed fibreglass core and black carbon fibre casing. One side has brown coating over carbon fibre around the edges. There are three white splotches on one side and one on the other. There is a small hole drilled through the panel near one edge.
