The Office Information System (OIS) 145 this supervisor's terminal is part of was purchased by Hunt & Hunt to replace a standard typewriter pool of 30-40 typists. The system was originally set up at the Bridge Street Offices in Sydney and operated day and night. It is reported to have operated smoothly for its life with an almost instantaneous increase in productivity when it was introduced.

The ability of the system to store law reports and precedents in glossaries (developed by Wang especially for the legal market) meant that individuals had rapid access to detailed information required for day to day work enabling more rapid processing cases. A futher advantage that is believed to have contributed greatly to the company's success was the use of the word processor for completing documents on a pro forma basis. In the late 1970s and early 1980s soliciting firms were prosecuting large numbers of worker's compensation and insurance cases. The more they could process, the more money they made. Hunt & Hunt report that the OIS was instrumental in making 'a lot of money' for the company.

Monitor and keyboard to provide access to the system by the system supervisor. Combined monitor and keyboard in beige metal casing with glass screen. The 'QWERTY' keyboard has grey and white plastic keys and various function keys across the top labelled Page, Note, Stop etc. There is a cooling fan at the side and a grills at the back and other side. Switched, sockets and fuse are along the back with a grey power cord.
