Neckpiece, 'Sunflower', composed of flat strips of anodised aluminium of pale yellowish green colour, the form derived from Japanese paper folding tradition, cut to shape from a single aluminium sheet and arranged in a circular pattern with large overlapping loops of varying scale swirling in one direction and secured around a central circular/oval opening, small white metal rivets have been used to hold the form. Made by Yuri Kawanabe, Sydney, 1994.
