This endpiece is from the last entire bolt of sheeting fabric purchased by Grace Stanyer in 1949 from Edmondson's Store in Wagga Wagga. She subsequently purchased sheeting from Edmonston's by the yard until the store stopped selling it in 1964. Grace and her family lived in Rannock, near Coolamon, NSW and subsequently in Junee.

This rectangular shaped endpiece is made of cream coloured cotton and is stamped in several places. In the centre in black is a line drawing image of two elephants whose trunks are pulling on a length of fabric emerging from a scroll reading 'SVADESHI MILLS/BOMBAY'. Underneath it is '60INS x 40YDS/FOR EXPORT ONLY'. To the right, within a diamond shaped border, the manufacturing agents are named 'TATA INDUSTRIES LTD/BOMBAY' and underneath it, within a rectangle border 'JUNE 1946'. On the left hand side in red is 'MEDIUM' and in black is 'COTTON' and 'MADE IN INDIA'.
