Mural, 'ACI Glassworks', oil and acrylic paint on masonite, Michiel Dolk, Merilyn Fairskye, Jeff Stewart, Australia, 1980. The mural consists of four painted Masonite panels. The panels depict:
*The early factory and its natural environment, as well as an eight hour day banner, men blowing glass and women painting glass lampshades.
*A variety of contemporary ACI tradesmen at work, plus a montage of women at work and shopping in a supermarket. These images are juxtaposed with those of football, cricket and racing-the athletes appear to be professionals rather than ACI workers at play.
*The ACI production line with supervisory staff prominent, juxtaposed with a 35 hour week campaign meeting.
*A park/yard setting, featuring picnics, fishing and sailing.
