Tray, electrotype reproduction, Elkington and Co., England, c.1880. Oblong tray with slightly raised sides, flowers and tendrils in relief on the shorter ends (OF). Tray oblong with flowers and tendrils in the relief - from the Roman specimen discovered at Hildesheim; 10 3/4" x 5 1/2"; silvered and parcel gilt (LC). The Hildesheim Treasure:- Square Plateau?; 1874 / 334 (SB).
