Stock book gives identification number of 81/13. List from South Kensington Museum indicates that these numbers indicate year of production, followed by a design number. However, this list was published in 1881 and does not include objects produced in that year. Other objects in this collection are described in the list.

Ewer, electrotype, reproduction of an original c.1610 Dutch ewer featuring a medallion of 'St John baptising Christ', Elkington and Co., England, c.1880

Ewer, "electrotype" - electroformed copper shape electroplated with gold; stepped flange foot, waisted stem, ovoid shouldered body, stepped and waisted neck, scroll-shaped high ornamental strap handle set opposite a broad upward swept pouring lip (OF). Ewer - Dutch; (Electrotype reproduction) c.1610; ornamented with strapwork, fruits and flowers and medallion of St John Baptising Christ; Height 13 1/2"; Gilt (LC). Ewer 81/13 (SB).
