Description
Transistor radio with solar panel, 'Wayfarer', plastic/metal, Stromberg-Carlson Telephone Mfg Co, USA, 1957-1962.

Transistor radio has a maroon Bakelite casing with vertically ribbed front panel and 'Stromberg' impressed along the top and 'Wayfarer' at bottom right. Front also has a metal crest. Radio has a gold painted carry handle, cream and maroon knobs at each side, for voloume and station selection. On top there is a solar panel. Along the bottom of the the front is a clear plastic strip for station choice. A panel at the rear for the batteries.
