The manufacture and distribution of surgical garments were significant facets of the Berlei company's business. This corset was part of Berlei's reference collection.

-1. Support corset made of beige coloured heavy polyester cotton drill with elastic insets in hem at both sides. Heavily boned with metal at back. Complex lacing at side seams threaded through metal eyelets and adjustable via two webbing straps and grip metal buckles at both sides. Rust coloured rubber tubes as leg straps are attached to corset at one end with plastic buttons and are adjustable via short lengths of webbing and metal buckles. Centre front opening fastens with two metal hooks and eyes and six metal press studs.
-2. Green paper leaflet printed in black titled 'Directions for Adjusting Camp Supports'. Instructions and diagrams of how to adjust lacing on corset.
