Marconi was and is a leading manufacture of equipment for the use in television production and filming. The camera was made in England. It was used some time between 1955 and 1975.
This is the type of camera that was used by Channel 7 when television first began in Australia in 1956.

Television camera and accessories, Marconi Mark 3, black and white, metal / glass / plastic, used by ATN 7, Australia, made by Marconi, Chelmsford, England, 1955-1975.

Marconi Mark 3, black and white television camera, Large rectangular camera in a grey/green painted metal casing, has "ATN 7" logo in blue, yellow and white painted on both sides. Camera is accompanied by a cradle tilt head, tripod and base with wheels, and a head set.
