All the doll's clothes were made by Beth Donaldson, the donor's mother. The blue dress was originally made for the donor, then altered to fit the doll once she had outgrown it.
History Notes include facts about what has happened to an object since manufacture. This could include who owned it and how it was used (provenance). It may also describe any cultural meanings with which it may have become associated. History notes
The doll was given to the donor at Christmas 1955 and the doll acquired an extensive wardrobe over the years, all made by the donor's mother. The donor lived at Narrabri, NSW

Dolls dress, wool, Beth Donaldson, Australia, 1955 1956

Pleated black-watch tartan wool 'kilt' attached to a sleeveless cream wool bodice with attached Peter Pan collar and centre back opening fastening at the waist band with metal hook and eye closure. Machine sewn, home made.
