Description
Tankard, reproduction, nickel plated cast iron, made by Laushammer Foundry, Germany, c.1880. Tankard, cast iron, nickel plated, cylindrical form with hinged lid; main body decorated with a bacchanalian scene in high relief, foliate border below, a wreath of leaves above, bulbous hinged lid with curled thumbpiece surmounted with a seated putto eating grapes, curved handle of woman's head and torso merging into fish tail, bulbous base (OF). 1 Mug No.461 (SB).
