Projection lamps with packaging and instructions (2), glass/metal/paper/cardboard, Philips, Holland, 1940-1970
The projector and accessories were given to Mr and Mrs Stafford in about 1946 by Thomas Nichol soon after their marriage on the condition that it be used for church film nights as well as personal family use, which was until about 1970. Over this time Mr Stafford added to the collection of accessories.
Thomas Nichol gave the projector to Mr I Stafford in about 1946.

Description
Projection lamps with packaging and instructions (2), glass/metal/paper/cardboard, Philips, Holland, 1940-1970.

Two projection lamps made of glass, metal and ceramic. Both are packaged in the same way. Each has a sheet of tissue paper around the glass then the instruction leaflet is wrapped around the globe, then a sheet of corrugated cardboard and plain brown wrapping paper, the whole is packaged in a printed cardboard box. The instruction leaflet is printed on white paper in four languages, titled 'PROJECTION LAMPS/IMPORTANT...'. The box is green, blue, orange and white with sketches of a light globe and a projector, PHILIPS, 115V 750W, type 6153H.

Both projection lamps and packaging are identical. Printed on globe: PHILIPS/MADE IN HOLLAND/TYP 6153H105/115-750W/CAPUNDER. Stamped on the lid of the box: 115V 750W/B&H4605/TYPE 6153H/MADE IN HOLLAND.
