Flute, Boehm-system with closed G#, wood / metal, head made by E Chambille in workshop of Louis Lot, Paris, 1919, body made by August Seidel, Hamburg, Germany, c.1919.
Flute in four pieces, head joint is silver and is narrower to the rest of the flute, cap has decorative beading and the mouth piece is raised and joined, with an oval mouth hole, long tenon joint for tuning barrel. Tuning barrel is short and flared, made from wood it is lined with silver and has silver banding top and bottom. Middle joint has 14 keyed holes, activated on a lever and counter lever system, joins ars silver and covered in cork. The foot section has 3 keyed holes and the top is double lined with silver, with a silver band around the bottom.
