Flute, Boehm system, metal / silver plate, possibly Marigaux workshop, Paris, France, 1930-1959.
Silver plate flute in three pieces, with cover for tenon joint (-1:4), screw driver (-5), grease pot (-6) and case (-7). The head joint has a raised mouth piece with an oval mouth hole, and a domed stopper with stamped decorative beading above the tenon joint. The middle joint has six keyed holes and decorative banding, where it covers the tenon joint. The foot joint has 3 keyed holes and decorative banding top and bottom.
Marks
Head joint - stamped "L.L/ LOUIS LOT/ PARIS- FRANCE/ BREVETTE". Hallmarks on the mouth piece, diamond shape being [EPNS symbol], and others indistiguishable.
Middle joint - stamped "1793/ L.L LOUIS LOT/ PARIS/ FRANCE/ BREVETE."
