Man's swimsuit, 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, nylon / lycra, Speedo Australia Pty Ltd, Australia, 1980.
Dark bottle green nylon / lycra racing brief 'stock garment', with drawstring waist threaded with white nylon cord with a white and gold repeat design featuring 2 boomerangs with the Olympic rings. Machine embroidered black and red boomerang and 'SPEEDO' logo applied to the lower right hip.

Two cardboard swing labels attached. One printed with the boomerang label and 'SPEEDO / Lycra NYLON 80% LYCRA 20% / STYLE 60234 / SIZE 16 / COLOUR' with promotional information on the reverse. The other tag printed with same name and logo and also inscribed in black ink '1980 / MOSCOW / OLYMPIC GAMES / SYMBOL PRINT / STOCK GARMENT / NYLON/LYCRA / RACER / MENS 16'. Printed fabric label with boomerang logo and 'SPEEDO / 16 (34") TO FIT WAIST 85 cm / 78% NYLON / 22% ELASTOMETRIC / (LYCRA)'. On the reverse, 'MADE IN AUSTRALIA'.
