This album continues the museum's practice of acquiring a simplified collection of every Australian stamp. Australia Post has issued it's annual collection in this format since 1981 and prior to that Australian stamps from 1850-1942 are contained in the Vickery stamp collection and from 1943-1980 in a separate donation from Australia Post.

This type of stamp album is a best seller in the souvenir and Christmas market as it contains all the background information about each stamp on the page.

Red album (deluxe edition) in slip case with title on front cover. Each page has space for stamps to be inserted in mounts provided. The stamps are separately housed in temporary Hagner sheets and are to be transferred into the album but the sheets kept and subnumbered. The stamp issues cover the Centenary of Federation, Federal Parliament, panoramas of Australia, desert birds, rock Australia, wild babies and outback services.
