Description
Photograph, 'Three horsemen in regional dress at the Stuttgart Folk Festival', black and white, negative, by Hedda Hammer (Morrison), Stuttgart, Germany, 1931.
This image of three men on horseback at the Stuttgart Folk Festival has been taken from a high angle, looking down. Two of the men on horseback are prominent in the centre of the image, and a third man can only partly be seen in the top right corner. The men are wearing regional dress comprising dark pants with a white shirt, dark tie and braces. They wear brimmed hats and each carries a whip. The horses cast distinct shadows on the ground in front of them. In the bottom left corner of the image, three men in dark suits can be partly seen standing, facing the men on horseback.
