Description
Decanter with stopper, and matching goblets (3), stoneware/cork, Diana Pottery Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia, 1941-1966
Decanter (with stopper), and Goblets (3), stoneware, slip-cast. The decanter (-1) has a bell-shaped lower body and a tight waist below a trumpet-shaped neck ; the stoneware and cork stopper (-2) is spherical with a short straight stem, the decanter decorated with grapes and vine leaves in low relief on the lower body and there is one vine leaf on the stopper. The three goblets (-3:5) each have a spreading foot and a short stem supporting an inverted bell-shaped cup, each decorated with grapes and vine leaves in low relief on the front. The decanter, stopper and goblets are similarly glazed with a yellowish brown glaze with red dusted highlights.
