Vanity dish, porcelain, Floy Hubble (China Painter), South Australia, 1910-1920
Covered dish (vanity dish), a commercially manufactured porcelain blank by unidentified maker ; (-1) the shallow container has a circular footrim, well rounded sides and a wide mouth, the exterior is onglaze decorated with a painted pastel pale blue ground, (-2) the cover is of low domed form and is onglaze decorated in art nouveau style with an encircling band of native blue bells hand painted in pale violet and green enclosing pastel blue grey ground at cover centre, the cover is painted with a pale beige band adjacent to the rim.

Painted mark "FLOY HUBBLE" in green under the cover.
