Electric lamp base, earthenware, T G & A G Bosley, South Australia, 1930-1940
Electric lamp base, earthenware, of classical oriental meiping form with a flat base, waisted lower body, swollen upper body and a short narrow neck with indent band, there is an opening under the base and a pierced hole above the base, glazed with a mid green lead glaze, the lamp base is fitted with a brass bayonet-type lamp holder with Bakelite switch at top, a 2.7 metre length of (modern) white two-phase electrical flex with three point plug extends from the hole above the base.

Makers mark "BOSLEY WARE / MITCHAM / SOUTH AUSTRALIA" under the base under glaze.
