Peter Tully is one of Australia's most significant artist/designers working in the field of art clothing. He uses the materials of contemporary life to explore the primitive and tribal behaviour and patterns of post-industrial society in his work which he describes as "urban tribalwear". This outfit is an extra ordinary play on the concept of the conformity of the business suit for men. It was especially designed and made for the exhibition 'Australian Fashion: The Contemporary Art' shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London 7 June-13 August 1989, Powerhouse Museum, Sydney 3 October 1989-24 February 1990, Marimura Art Gallery, Tokyo 28 June-13 July 1990.

The ensemble was created by Peter Tully in Sydney between 1988 and 1989.

Two piece wool flannel suit, shirt and accessories with applique holograms and found objects (recycled suit, new accessories). Accessories include headpiece comprising of motorcycle helmet, perspex, hologram foils, compact discs and plastic squids; 'scorpion skin' plastic tie; pair of purple nylon socks; pair of hologram eyes glasses; briefcase of clear plastic with applied holograms. The ensemble has a mannequin and stand, pair of shoes and replacement pair of spectacles.
