Sketchbook, designs for various objects, paper/ ink/ pencil, Marc Newson, Australia/ England/ Japan, 1986

Quarter bound sketchbook with black, paper hardcover. The spine is reinforced with two peices of red tape adhered horizontally at the top and bottom of the spine. Marc Newson's initials are handwritten inside the front cover with the commencement date for the sketchbook, 'M.A.N / Commence July 86'. The sketchbook consists of 91 pages which contain design drawings and notes in black, blue and brown ink and blue, brown and lead pencil, for various objects including watches, chairs, lamps, glasses, tables, and shop fittings. An A4 plastic sleeve is adhered to the inside of the front cover. The plastic sleeve contains the following objects: 90/724-1/4; 90/724-1/2; 90/724-1/3.
