Mixing bowl, earthenware, Maylands Pottery, South Australia, 1889-1900
Mixing bowl, earthenware, press-moulded, the open bowl with a low and circular foot and rounded sides flaring to a thickened rim, the mouth is wide and the well is deep, the exterior detailed with repeating relief-moulded wheat sheaf motifs, lead glazed with the exterior with a greyish yellow caneware glaze and the interior with a very worn cream glaze.
