Jardiniere, earthenware, Maylands Pottery, South Australia, 1889-1910
Jardiniere, earthenware, press-moulded, the squat open vessel with a circular footring, well rounded lower body and steep sides tapering towards upper body and then flaring to the wavy rim encircling the wide mouth, the exterior features a swirling relief moulded stylised foliate design, lead glazed with an all over glossy dark brown Rockingham glaze with the exterior highlighted with light streaks.
