Sent to donor, Mrs Alfreda Marcovitch, by Milica Secerovic in the 1940s. Milica Secerovic wished to ensure the preservation of traditional material.

Description
Peskir (towel), embroidered linen, Serbia, Yugoslavia, 1900-1930
Long scarf or towel of fine handwoven linen (platno fabric), with narrow rolled and buttonholed hem. Each end embroidered with three reversible floral motifs in silk and metallic thread, with narrow decorative border round outside edges.
