See the best international animation films for kids, join our hands-on thaumatrope workshop or book onto a one day stop animation course.

Drop-in thaumatrope workshop
24, 25 September, 10.30am – 12.30pm & 1.30pm – 4pm
Engage young hands to create a thaumatrope, a Victorian toy, using just paper and string!
Ages 3 – 10 years
Free with Museum admission, bookings not required.
Free admission for Animation Festival ticket holders*

1 day stop motion animation course
24, 25 September, 10am – 4pm

Participants will work with a professional animator and use HD webcams, Stop Motion Pro software and mixed-media to create a short animated project.
Ages 8–12 years
Cost: $140 per child, $126 member
